As a systems engineer, you’ll be at the centre of some of the UK’s most advanced engineering programmes — using systems principles to ensure that every component, process and stakeholder aligns to deliver safe, effective and sustainable solutions. From naval platforms to satellite communications, your work will shape the systems that matter most.
You’ll bring structure to complexity — defining requirements, managing interfaces and leading integration across multidisciplinary teams. You’ll apply your evolving systems engineering skills to engage with various stakeholders, understand system needs, identify and mitigate risks, ensure that systems meet their requirements and that they’re ready for the real world.
The majority of our systems engineering roles are based in Bristol and Plymouth, where we support major defence and marine programmes. But as the discipline continues to grow, opportunities are increasingly available across other Babcock sites — offering you the chance to apply your skills in new sectors and settings. These are roles designed for engineers who thrive on big-picture thinking, technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
